Born and raised in the remote opal fields of far northern South Australia, Redmond grew up in Andamooka and Coober Pedy.
Growing up in the Outback gave him a deep appreciation for its landscapes, people and rich history. His childhood was filled with adventure, discovery and experiences that would stay with him for life.
After a successful 25-year career in international hospitality, working in five-star hotels and casinos around the world, Redmond felt the pull to return to his roots. Combining his lifelong connection to the Outback with his global hospitality experience, he created Australian Outback Escapes to share this extraordinary part of Australia with travellers from around the world.
