OUR Story

After a successful 25 year corporate career in 5-star hotels and casinos, Redmond Hauser felt a strong pull to return to his roots in the Australian outback. Born and raised in the opal fields of far northern South Australia, Redmond’s deep connection to the desert landscape inspired him to combine his unique upbringing with his extensive hospitality expertise. This led to the creation of Australian Outback Escapes.
 
Redmond’s vision for the company was to provide guests with a truly authentic outback experience, while ensuring a level of comfort and luxury they desire. With a strong commitment to his values and the experiences he had as a child in the outback, he developed two distinct styles of tours: Adventure Outback Escapes and Luxury Outback Escapes. These tours offer guests the opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of the outback in a way that reflects Redmond’s personal connection to life and the land, blending adventure and luxury for an unforgettable experience.

Adventure Outback Escapes

Travel in comfort and safety aboard our well-appointed 4WD off-road bus, designed for both group adventures and solo travelers. Embark on guided hikes through ancient landscapes, taking in breathtaking views and experiencing the natural beauty of the outback. Along the way, you’ll encounter iconic Australian wildlife in their natural habitats, including kangaroos, emus, and dingoes, offering an authentic connection with the land.
 
At night, gather around a crackling campfire to share stories and reflect on the day’s adventures. Enjoy the unique experience of sleeping under the stars in comfortable swags. Feel the vastness and tranquility of the Australian Outback, and immerse yourself in a truly unforgettable journey.

Luxury Outback Escapes

Luxury Outback Escapes offers an all-inclusive, private, and personal experience that combines luxury accommodation with the rugged beauty of the Australian outback. Guests can enjoy a blend of resort and lodge stays, along with the unique experience of luxury glamping in a state of the art off road caravan. Featuring a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom, heating and cooling climate control, TV, and Starlink internet (so you can stay connected even in the most remote locations), this is comfort at its finest. Travel in safety and style in a modern Toyota Landcruiser 300 Series, designed to provide a smooth and safe journey through the outback.
 
The experience places a strong emphasis on showcasing South Australia’s best produce, dining at award-winning restaurants and wineries, and visiting iconic outback pubs. When glamping, guests enjoy gourmet meals prepared with the finest local ingredients, cooked over fire and coals, and perfectly paired with South Australian wines.
For those who seek a more immersive outback experience, if the weather is fine and guests desire, they can swap the comfort of the luxury caravan for a deluxe swag to sleep under the stars—still in comfort, of course!
